A lot of celeberties died these last couple of days. Death isn’t exactly taking its work break seeing on how they killed unsuspecting comedian and pop icon Michale Jackson. The man that most Americans tormented with the media and negitive publicity, finally has a new light in a dim bar. Its now considered sentimental that the king of pop died, after many tourmented articles and attacks that have been shot at him. But that human nature, we all remember high school deaths; if a student dies every suddenly knows that person and it becomes some sort of tear river. Billie Mays, not to be confused with the shamwow kid, also died. No longer will I be able to curl up on my couch at 3am and turn on the tube and watch the Oxyclean comericals. People should buy a bottle of oxyclean and poor one out for a homie.

The latest scripts in progress is a series of short films conjured from None Shall Pass, thus being a series of movies based of human nature. At first I viewed it as a comedic satire, but the script rubs off as a drama. The scripts are still under construction but will be available on my blog as a editable draft.

I feel somewhat useless now that the economy is bad and its difficult to find a job. If you have a job, keep it, don’t you even think about quitting, wait that shit out until you are fired. I miss waiting tables at Bennigans, having about $100 a day, and having a kick ass staff to work with. Now I’ve been trying to make ends meet working mulitple jobs and losing sleep. Word of advice, never. buy. a. goddamn. credit. card.
Manny and his chair

I need to work on my photography, or atleast get out of this goddamn city and explore more. I haven’t been out of the U.S in years. Its somewhat borring. I’ve been thinking of going to Canada to see the sights, but I want to go in the Autumn or Winter, and capture some real seasonal shots. I was planning on going to the desert for the summer, my friend Manny (working on his chair) says that Nevada is the best desert ever. He doesn’t know that I got to see Egypt, so I doubt it could Compare, but I wouldn’t mind checking it out.

Since that photography business shut down, I’ve been searching for a job, wish me luck!

So yesterday I was talking to a co worker about building a portfolio for photography. I already have three, but a newer one with more portraits would be nice. Right now we work for a small business that does a combination of family and glamor shots. Also we new equipment, badly. I decided to get the D200 instead of anything new, I love that camera and even though the d700 is and d300 are newer and have a bit more power, the D200 is all I need. That and I can buy more glass for my cameras with the left over cash.

The other day another co-worker had brought in a Cannon camera, the xti I believe. That wasn’t a bad camera but I prefer my Nikon’s quality. The lenses he had were strictly digital made, I like being able to switch between film and digi. The only thing I liked about the xti was the fast shutter speed, but other than that It was a downer. I also hate the whole “settings on the LCD” deal. Its a cute litte screen that displays all of the settings but completly wastes the battery if you shoot in manuel mode. My D50 and D70 and soon to be D200 all have this setting panel on the top of the camera, so the battery is saved for actually using the camera. But I cant rant that much about that because Nikon does that shit too, with the D40 and the D60, bad choice. I would be amazed if Nikon came out with a camera built like the FM10, but digital.
Imagine a camera that really feels like a slr, you have to set the aperture through the lens, set the shutter speed and iso the old fashioned way, and its all digital. That would be amazing. I want a digital verion of real slr like the fm10 or the FE2. The day that happends I’d spent more on photo gear than any other thing I do, hell I’d even sell my older shit just to get one of those.

It sucks that my buddy Pat is leaving for the Navy, but then again its also a good thing. He hasn’t left yet but is well on his way to doing so. Its going to be a hell of alot quieter without that pat machine running around making sence of everything thats going on. He did promise to keep in contact and visit alot but he’s not going to be the same when he gets back. As far as it being a good thing, it gives him the structure he needs for a better future. He always sounded depressed when mentioning future plans because he couldn’t afford school and has been working minimum wage for a long time. The Navy will hopefully give him a brighter career. Manny hasn’t spoke much about Pats decidion but I’m pretty sure he will spill some words before Pat leaves.

Speaking of which, We’ll have to throw one last party to get Pat wasted.

So I began typing the adaptation to my little project, “The Modern Day Beatnik”. I would like to get some guest writers and poets to contribute to the creation. Unfortunately I’m facing a long winded project that might last a while before it is finished, although it would be an accomplishment worth enjoying once achieved.

Also, I had an odd week. I normally like to see progress in people but unfortunately that did not happen with my buddy from Harker Heights. Oh well, life goes on.
At work, or the forceful slave drive to achieve nothing, I spent days wondering why we had to rearrange displays. I asked the boss and she said it was good for business, but in all actually, I think its just to give us something to do. I cant see why any idiot would just randomly walk by and say, “Holy hell, this entire place is rearranged, lets buy new shit!”
Oh well.

Nikon has a compact professional camera coming out called the D700. The only reason why I want this camera is because it has a full 35mm frame. I was saving for a d3 or something but I think by the time I round up enough cash, the D700 would go down in price. I still fine with my D50 and D70s. I might actually buy the D200 instead of borrow. But the D700 just seems a little more bad ass.

I was in a car accident 4 weeks ago, well, this lady ran into my side, and this collision repair shop has spent about 3+ weeks to repair it. All it need was an allignment and a bumper replacement. Its not that I’m being impaient because I want my car to run decently, but for some reason, everyday they say its ready… and then they say it isn’t. I’ve been bumming rides for four weeks stright. I normally like to go out and do shit but oh well… Hopefully today is the day…

I am hard at work to edit all of my blogs… might be awhile
